James D. Schumacher III,
is a Los Angeles based author, comic-creator, film director and collector of tattoos; whose work has spanned over a decade from directing live television at the age of 19, to writing and doctoring scripts, comic books; and directing numerous films and commercials. In 2015 James created the popular award-winning horror comic series, Inheritance and recently he created the award-winning horror graphic novel, Of Devils and Men.
James’ name has become synonymous with his hard-driving, unrelenting approach to his creative work across the field of writing, filmmaking and comic books. Holding to a high level of quality and molding his own life into every single project has led his work into film festivals around the world including the short film corner of the prestigious Festival de Cannes.
His work has won numerous awards including Best Artwork for Inheritance, Best Script and Best Horror for his work on his upcoming comic series, Of Devils and Men and Audience Choice Awards for his film The Astronaut. Actors under his direction have been nominated for numerous Best Actor Awards, and one won the award for Best Actor against Richard Roundtree and Steven Bauer.
Recently James has garnered an amazing amount of press attention from Dread Central, Horror Novel Reviews, Fox, and FYFC podcasts for his emotional stories and blending the loss of his mother into his stories. 2016 brings James around the country as a guest at numerous comic conventions, including a guest appearance at Martial Con I, Action on Film and Covellite International Film Festival.
James continues to carve out his name in comics, writing and filmmaking as well as a lifelong pursuit of gathering tattoos.
